Stephen Hendrys Cup 2010(all cup matches 8-15pm start) 22 Entries, 14 from Preston City League and 8 from Leyland Pool League. There will be 6 preliminary matches(12 teams all coming from the Preston City League). The 6 winners, along with the 2 byes and 8 Leyland Pool League teams will make up the last 16. In the last 16, no Preston City team can draw another Preston City team, and obviously no Leyland League team can draw another Leyland league team. The 8 losing last 16 teams, along with the 6 preliminary round losers will go into the Priory Shield. All other rounds are open draws.
Cup match format - minimum 5 players, 6 singles and 3 scotch doubles. 8-15pm start(Cup matches only). Nominate 5 players for the first 5 singles. The 6th frame of singles can be played by one of those first 5, or a different player. Then you play 2 frames of scotch doubles. If the scores are tied at 4-4, a further game of scotch doubles is played. Players can play a 2nd frame of scotch doubles at this point, but not with the same player they played with in their previous game of scotch doubles.
