1. Matches start at 8pm; A promp start is needed to avoid late nights (10 single frames and 1 scotch doubles). If late 8.15pm lose 1 frame, 8.30pm = 2 frames. If you're going to be late ring the venue, but home teams choice to claim frames. 3 players make a match. If by 8.45pm 3 players
are not available to have played, the opposition can claim the Match but captain to ring Andy on 07802 597166, Jason on 07976 821679 or Chris on 07877 987720 first.
2. At the start of a match each team MUST write down 5 players each, this is the order of play unless the captains agree otherwise. If a player is not available allow 10 minutes from the end of last frame to claim the frame, then another 10 to a maximum of 2 frames per set.
3. All matches 11 frames, 2 sets of 5, and 1 frame of scotch doubles as per result card. The break is determined by the lag (both players send balls up & down, nearest cushion has choice, hitting the jaw is loss of the lag).
3a. It will 1 point per frame (including Doubles) and 2 points for the win; for the merits both players will awarded 1 win or loss each and if any 8 ball clearances are made then both players will get the 8 ball. (AMENDMENT 6/4/2009). 4. Captains to agree any disputes over rules/decisions, otherwise contact league - remember this is a fun night out. 5. Captains responsible for order during the match. 6. TIME RULE: If both captains agree matches can be timed, 60 seconds per shot with warning after 30 seconds, 2 shot penalty white ball in hand if wished. If by 9.30pm 6 frames have not been played then either captain can enforce TIME rule.TIME RULE MUST BE USED FOR THE SCOTCH DOUBLES
6.a players can consult in the doubles but if you get time fouled then oncoming player can have ball in hand if he/she wishes(but not open table). (AMENDMENT 6/4/2009)
7. MATCHES CANNOT BE POSTPONED- If a problem contact league. As rule 9. If the league authorises a postponement then the match must be played within 2 weeks or the non cancelling team will be awarded 10 points. 8. All players need to be registered with this league,once a player has played they cannot swap teams,in normal circumstances .New players can be signed on at any time and play straight away. 9. For a match to be valid 3 players must have played (i.e. 6 frames) otherwise game claimed and 10 points awarded to non-canceling team.If cancelled on the night a £20 fine (food, time & trouble) for non attendance on night,to be paid within 14 days and a 5 point deduction. 10. Winning team responsible for return of card which must be back to league by Wednesdayday 4pm or 2 points deducted and £5 fine (5 points further deduction for non payment of fine) ONLY TO THE OLD OAK (not later than 4.00pm Wednesday Night) ADDRESS OF PUB ON BACK OF CARDS , ADD STAMP AND POST, or scanned or photograph copy to andrewbato@aol.com
11. To qualify for merits winner must have played more than 50% of possible games over the season and all result cards recieved .Player averages are based on actual frames,wins against NO PLAYER do not count. 12.The league reserves the right to alter these rules and reminds teams that by playing in this league that they are agreeing to these rules.
