SCOTCH DOUBLES RULE CHANGE:-

Timer(ie 1 minute per shot must be used, 30 second warning given).  If you run out of time, it is 2 visits, respot of the white available!!!

New league format:-

- 5 singles, 1 scotch doubles, 5 singles, 1 scotch doubles

- A player can only play in 2 singles and 1 scotch doubles

- a player cant player against same player twice in singles

- points format is 1 point per frame, 3 points for winning match, 1 point for drawing match

New Cup format:-

- 9 singles, 1 scotch doubles.  If 5-5 you nominate a player to play decider(in decider you can play a player you played earlier)

- a player cannot play more than twice(3 times if you play for a Leyland league team) in the 9 singles, and cannot play same player twice.  If 5-5, you cannot play someone who has already played in 3 frames

- All above rules apply to Leyland/Preston teams, although due to changes in the Leyland league, Preston teams must play 5 players atleast, although Leyland teams only have to play 4!!!

A 2nd interleague team(representing the Preston City League) has been entered in the Lancashire league.  If anyone who is a member of any Preston City League teams is interested, please contact Andy Barlow on 07428 157398.  It will start in early Feb 2012, and matches are played once a month on a Sunday, 9 person teams(matches are 2 sets of 9 players) and you will be competing against representatives from other leagues throughout Lancashire.
